Bring along

- Complete ski mountaineering equipment (skis & poles, ski boots, skins) - Ski crampons - Helmet - Self rescue kit: shovel – probe – avalanche beacon (ARTVA) - Harness - Also, if you have them, bring along: ice axe, crampons, 1 screw carabiner, 1 climbing sling) - Backpack (max. 30 lts) - Thermic bottle - High mountains clothing: mountain trousers, fleece, base layer, puffy jacket and/or extra insulation layer, wind breaker, gloves and cap. - Essential accessories: sunglasses, UV sunscreen. - Energy snacks If you do not own one or more of the above items, please inform the Alpine Guides upon reservation (some of the items can be provided by the Guides, others are available for rent at the Guides’ office) - SLEEPING BAG LINER (compulsory in all mountain huts)

In the event of adverse weather conditions or excessive group disparity, the Alpine guides reserve the right to vary the itinerary or to postpone the appointment to ensure the safety of the participants and the success of the excursions.

In case of cancellation of the activity, the Alpine Guides Dolomiti Avventura will given you a voucher equal to the amount you paid, valid for one year, to be used for another ours activity.

Gran Paradiso Ski Tour 
Magnificent and fulfilling ski ascent of the only completely Italian Four-Thousander. Our itinerary will leave from Rifugio Chabod (awesome view of the steep North Face and the Laveciau Glacier), reach the rocky peak of Gran Paradiso and then descend toward Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II. From there, we will aim to the beautiful Cima Tresenta. Finally, a really fun ski ride along the narrow Vallone della Selva at the foot of the Grand Étret.

Day ONE • 07:00 Meeting point and departure for Valle d’Aosta. • 13:30 Arrival at Valsavaranche; ski mountaineering ascent to Rifugio Chabod (2750mt, elevation gain 916mt, hours 2:30, difficulty level MS). • Afternoon: equipment check and roping up setting.

Day TWO – Gran Paradiso 4061mt • Early breakfast and ascent to the summit, through the Laveciau Glacier (elevation gain 1300mt, hours 5:00, difficulty level BSA). • Descent to Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II 2735mt.

Day THREE – Tresenta 3609mt • Early breakfast and ascent to Cima Tresenta through the Moncorvé Glacier (elevation gain 900mt, hours 3:00, difficulty level BSA). • Ski descent along the Vallone della Selva at the foot of the Grand Étret.

Equipment (compulsory): • Self rescue kit: shovel – probe – avalanche beacon (ARTVA) – available for rent) • Ski crampons, 1 screw carabiner, 1 climbing sling Equipment supplied or rental items All equipment items are for individual use. If you don’t own one or more of the compulsory items (see the above list) please contact the Guides’ office upon reservation. The self rescue kit is available for rent.

Overnight stay: Rifugio Chabod 2750mt; Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II 2735mt Sleeping bag liner compulsory

Transfer: Private cars

Responsibilities: Alpine Guides are to be held responsible exclusively during customers’ outdoor mountaineering and ski mountaineering activities. Car transfers and any extra-mountaineering or –ski mountaineering activity are not included. The Guides are not responsible for personal initiatives taken by customers in contrast to the instructor directions. For customers’ safety, in case of risky weather condition, the itinerary can be varied to the Alpine Guide discretion.
